Yes indeed. LOL... "other games" and "low level quality" that the main man can't stand really says a lot about how Forza2 is looking out to be.
And the Prologue being not a teaser or even a demo but the best game that they can provide at this point of time ( that's for all us rabid fans requesting for a game much sooner )
Actually I kind of agree with him - got both PS3/XBox360 consoles and have to say the XBox does have the better "rumble" feature plus it's a more ergonomically "adult-size" friendly to hold control pad.
Sony really needs to make the control pads a little bigger next time around so as to spread the bunched-up buttons and sticks.
The L2/R2 triggers slippage issue on the DualShock3 have'nt been dealt with as well. Have to buy aftermarket add-on to fix th...
It's just been confirmed that the Full Version GranTurismo 5 will also have *weather effect besides having damage-mode, more cars and tracks.
Simply awesome news.
Will be awaiting the downloadable damage-mode version/patch for the Prologue Series.
Great to hear the *Full Version GranTurismo 5 will also have *weather effects as confirmed by the top man himself.
And with the Prologue Series having to have damage-mode soon ( as download )is really looking very good indeed.
Thank You Kaz-san.
Love your work.
No it won't, in fact would make the game series the *ultimate best of them all.
The Zenith, nirvana of driving/reacing titles - whatever you want to call it...
And a big plus for us gamers' in particular.
Don't mind these very scared critics, they just want to put the game down so they could continue with the critisizing of the entire outfit. Ok,.. ok.
Sure it's the 21st century, but I think it's about the *all-important image factor that no one wants to touch this issue about full-on nudity in games.
Also there are a lot of issue that still need to be dealt with. Like extremes ( violence, degrading acts, pedophelia... ) in games that may cause others to fully realize. It's not about only showing nudity that these companies are worried about. Because once you go in this direction there are basically no bounderies in sexual fantas...
That'll be written in history for the GranTurismo Series in implementing damage-mode for the very first.
A very welcome and much anticipated feature that will make the game truly the best of them all.
Would love to see the very first screens and in-game video footage of the game...
Obliterates the competition completely, and blows all the critics' and naysayers' aside.
Only other thing that could top that is adding differing weather physics, which would make this game the nirvana of driving/racing titles.
Gobsmacked here... Wow.
Really great news.
This will surely embarrass the critics, what have you got to say now huh?
Believe this will be the most awesome "demo" of all time - if you can even call it that.
Simply make the others of it's genre look really really last-gen. Think it also obliterates the competition when physics is the topic, especially compared to Forza2.
And I think everyone will agree that this is the only game where you actually use the replay feature just to watch and admire the cars once you finish a good race... right?
You're very much right there rev20... every time I finish a good race, you just got to look at the replays and this is the only title that I do use this feature.
Simply awesome.
If you ever see this being demo'ed on retail outlets, you just gotta have a go, it's that stunning.
Bought myself a G25 steering wheel just for this game alone, have'nt had any since GranTurismo on the PS1 and it just makes the gameplay experience much more exhilirating.
Old news...
This is the new - Sony will be discontinuing the Sixaxis pad, and believe most shops will now give a very big discount on the Sixaxis just to dispose of them ( might be around 50-70+ percent off the retail price ).
Also the DualShock3 will be the standard in the box for all new buyers' of the PS3 console.
It's no surprise really if they discontinued the Sixaxis, won't be any use anymore after "rumble" has returned. Think most shops would cut prices from up to 50-70+ percent on the Sixaxis once DualShock3 is on the shelves.
Have already seen actual in-game videos and am expecting it to have the same look and physics as Colin McRae: DIRT, which I am not complaining think it would have a great gameplay value just the same.
Plus I just love that the line-up of cars in the game, it'll be like the next TOCA Series. All those LeMans racecars, America musclecars, Euro GT's and Japan's drift champions.
I'm from Australia and I also got a Japanese PS3 Store account.
Only use the Japanese website to look-out for their more unusual and quirky titles plus free demos.
Good their shipping them early, just don't expect any other ( visual ) changes on the pads.
Only a slight added weight and the DualShock3 logo are the only noticable difference.
Sony should now make the DualShock3 as the standard of choice that goes in the box when purchasing a PS3 console.
Had mine for a couple of months now, but really wish Sony had done something about the slippage issue on L2/R2 triggers, plus the small size.
Still thankful it's got ...
Too right. Has delivered the hype plus more.
Got both consoles and all these games and must say graphically GranTurismo has set the bar so high no other driving/racing game can touch it in this department. Pure car porn/eye candy - call it what you like...
GranTurismo is simply way ahead - no doubt about, even when you compare physics or simulation versus Forza2 beats it to a pulp. Sure it does'nt have damage-mode ( for now... ) but actually to virtually drive/race - following lines, how each car behaves to road irregularities ...
To NoFanSLand - the main reason it is still harder to press on the DualShock3 is because - the L2/R2 trigger design, the "bulge" which is shaped inwards - ( that is why we encounter slippage ) needs to be *re-shaped outwardly.
This surely is one concern Sony needs to fix.
The only solution is to buy an aftermarket add-on/clip-on that fixes this issue.
He's quite right, there's also this thing about when somebody from the back who hits your car ( either accidentally or intentionally when you're doing everything right in driving ) and then you bounce off the barriers and get *penalty points yourself., and or you *don't ( which is a plus ) and catapults you further up the top of the lists'.
Does this also happen to you? Happens to me a lot... it's quite frustrating sometimes because you don't know if the others are honestly racing ...
